Amazon.com Product Description Do away with your space-consuming dumbbells and consolidate to a single pair with the Stamina Versa-Bell II adjustable dumbbells. Offering a series of weight settings from 10 to 50 pounds (in 5-pound increments), the Versa-Bell II units do the work of nine sets of dumbbells in one, so you don't need to dedicate more than a few feet of space to your workout area. Each innovative Versa-Bell II dumbbell is outfitted with a single 10-pound handle connected to a dial mechanism. As you move the dial, the handle latches on to a different combination of steel weight plates, with a window display showing which weight setting you've chosen. Dial it down to 20 pounds and you'll lift only a single set of plates, but dial it up to 50 pounds and you'll get the whole combination. It's the easiest way possible to save space and money without sacrificing quality. Each dumbbell includes a durable, heavy-duty nylon weight tray but is also compatible with Stamina's SPS Versa-Bell dumbbell stand (sold separately).
Product Description The Stamina Versa-Bell II 50 lb. dumbbells are five dumbbells in one. This innovative 10 to 50 pound adjustable dumbbell replaces five individual dumbbells, but is the size of one so you save space and money without sacrificing quality. It's the perfect way to add dumbbells to your home workout area. Just set the dial to your weight of choice.
The dial mechanism makes changing weight fast and easy for uninterrupted workouts. As you dial, the weight minder shows the weight you've chosen.

Works great August 24, 2010 Big Tex (TX) Took a few days to ship but arrived relatively promptly. Good dumbbells that are easy to use. Switching the weight is simple and quick. Comes with plastics "stands" to put the weights when not in use so they're not just sitting on the floor. Cheaper than any of the other well-reviewed alternatives and I've been very happy with the purchase for some light lifting at home.
Pretty good so far... July 23, 2010 Imran Khan 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The product is great. It's not too bulky either, the weights are about the size of 5 lb olympic plates.
Only problem I have is in order to increase weight in 5 lb increments, you have to have one side of the dumbbell be heavier than the other. What I mean is: Say you want 50 lbs. You will have all 4 plates on both sides. Now if you want 45 lbs, you will have 3 plates on one side and 4 plates on the other. This is creating an imbalance. I don't see myself being able to do exercises like chest flies when weight isn't balanced...? Am I missing out on something? This is a pretty big flaw.
Other than that, it's a great deal... I mean other products want $400 for pretty much the same thing. I'd definitely recommend, but if you have the money check to see how the weight increment works on other adjustable dumbbells because I'm not too happy with this one's.
PS Please comment if you have a solution to the increment problem.
nice weights, great value July 19, 2010 suzieque 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had been looking for an adjustable set of dumbbells for a while, I nearly bought the bowflex product but when I tested in a store, the plates had jammed up, then I read online about bowflex problems due to the use of plastic.
I did more research on other products and then read the reviews here of the stamina dumbbells and decided to give them a try. For the price, the quality is great, far better than more expensive bowflex and then are adjustable in 5lb increments.
Versa weights are convenient but timely to use June 27, 2010 sjw327 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These are very nice for their space-saving attributes, but it is timely to change the weights. It wouldn't be a problem for normal weight lifting, but if you are doing a video that switches exercises quickly, you will probably have to pause the video or you will get behind. They aren't quite as handy as the Bowflex version, but for the cheaper price, they aren't terrible. We've been happy with them.
Good Price. Good Product. Free Delivery. June 18, 2010 SAMIAM 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I can't be anything but pleased about being able to purchase a pair of 50 pound adjustable dumbbells for $177 with free shipping included since most similar products can cost you over $400. I received the product within 7 days of placing my order so that was also a surprise as I expected it to take a little while longer. The dumbbells arrived nicely packaged and unharmed from the shipping process. They are easy to adjust in weight and they have the appearance of being a nice quality product. My short time with the dumbbells thus far would confirm my initial impression about the quality of these dumbbells. I don't get the sense that they are going to fall apart on me anytime soon (hopefully never!) My only small complaint (very small) is that it almost always takes two hands to put one dumbbell back into the stand that is specially designed with slots to hold each plate. The reason why it takes two hands is because you will need to slightly separate the plates, that are currently not attached to the dumbbell, with your fingers. This isn't a difficult process, slightly separating the unused plates with your fingers so that you can slide the dumbbell through, but its worth mentioning as a minor nuisance. If you are looking for some adjustable dumbbells and you don't feel like forking over the big bucks for similar products that may or may not be better, then I think you just landed on a good deal here if you can still purchase these dumbbells for $177 or thereabout. Happy Training!
