kids love it June 1, 2010 Kristine L. Hanke (Wausau, WI) Bought 2 for skateboarding boys 13 and 11. Good fit and they have decorated them with cool stickers, they are happy and so am I with this product.
Not a bad helmet, looks funny on a large head. March 31, 2010 billy (Washington, DC) I bought this helmet a year ago. I was in the market for a skate-style helmet for my bicycle, which I ride to work, purely for aesthetic reasons. I ordered the orange XL model from Niagara Cycle Works via Amazon Marketplace, and I have no complaints on cost, shipping, or service.
Just a note of caution - I am a pretty big dude (6' 2" and heavy), and I guess I have an exceptionally large/tall noggin. The helmet does fit, but it barely seems to cover my head; instead, it just kind of sits on top of my head. I'm not terribly worried that it is doing a bad job protecting my head, but it looks a little ridiculous.
For people who don't have a gargantuan coconut like me, I'm sure this helmet looks totally fine. Still, if I had the choice to purchase again, I would probably order something else that is a little more proportional to my body/head size.
Great Helmet! February 16, 2010 Fred J. Vogel If your going to complain about the size TRY THEM ON FIRST! Its like buying a pair of shoes online and saying they don't fit, duhh all brands are different.
With that being said, these helmets seem very well made and are sturdy. The fit and finish on them is very good. Lots of colors to choose from and they look good! For the price you simply can't beat them!
Not a good fit. January 8, 2010 S. B. Shapiro (Culver City, CA) I can't get this helmet to fit me well. I used the chart provided by company to figure out what size to order, it was too big. I exchanged it for the correct size (had to pay shipping to send it back) and got the smaller size and that one doesn't fit well either. I tried using the little stick-on pads that come with it, they seem to confuse things further. I am stuck with the helmet because I bought it and then paid extra to exchange size. My advice is don't try to save a few bucks by ordering a helmet online. It backfired for me - try them on in person.
Good product but heavy December 16, 2009 Teimuraz Bakradze 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is doubtlessly good helmet, which came in nice package with even nicer decals to apply. It has 3 sizes of internal padding, which are interchangeable to fit perfectly. I bought it for cycling needs (for downhill part of it) and noticed certain differences from bike helmets used by me: 1) Pryme is much heavier than anything I had before. It took time to get used to such burden on my head, but on the other side - it is not cycling helmet, so heavy weight can be downside of enhanced protection, required in BMX or skiing. 2)Straps don't have any soft padding for the chin area and they should have it, believe me! I fitted one pad from my Giro helmet to this Pryme.
Bottom line: it is good helmet for the price. If don't care for it's weight, I can't find any reason not to recommend it. Good buy!
