Great product /Been using for years August 22, 2010 Eric Wiseman (Snohomish County, wa USA) Yes they are heavy but wow do they work as advertised. I ride a 80 pound outfitted mountain bike with 225lb rider on 2.125 tires and they have never failed me except if you use with the slime liners which will slice the tube open. I ride 75 miles a week or so. I would never ride without them.
Finally, no flats! February 22, 2010 RSR (Kingman, AZ) Anyone who lives in the southwest knows what a goathead is, they will puncture ANYTHING. I even purchased a pair of aramid belted tires that were supposed to be virtually puncture proof, and got a flat on my first outing! I was reluctant to purchase these tubes due to the weight, and they did indeed add a whopping 5 LBS to my bike! But after 600 miles of flat free riding I`m impressed. Sure the added weight makes for a more vigorous workout, but that can be a good thing, right? I still find goatheads in my tire, but now I just pull them out with ZERO air loss. If top speed and lightweight are your top priorities, then these tubes are not for you. But if your like me, and just want to ride without the constant hassle of patching flats, then these are the ones to buy.
Fantasctic Tube. No more flats. February 1, 2010 Atown This tube is great. I was popping tires all the time with my last "budget" tube. This one is tough and hasn't had a flat in about a year of riding.
Awesome! November 16, 2009 Chadillac (Tucson, AZ) Bought two of these. Replaced the front tire first because it was flat. Just ran through some goat heads the other day, and now I get to replace the back tire... Front tire didn't even seem like it lost any air. I probably pulled out about a dozen goat heads from it and no apparent air loss. I would recommend these to everyone that has a bike.
Works great, Thorn Resistant August 11, 2009 J. Tiamsuphat (VA USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I changed my back tube to this tube last year because I could not patch it any more.
I have never had flat tire on the back tire since then; while I had to patch my front tube two times.
I am going to buy another one for my front tire.
WARNING:: If you relieve the air from the tube, beware that the green slime may leak out with the air.
You have to rotate the tube so that the valve is up high.
